Specialist Course: Introduction to Cometary Physics |
Description |
An overview of the physics of comets is presented. The aim is to provide background for students interested in small bodies in our Solar System. These objects are potentially interesting for solar system formation studies. There will be 12-14 lectures looking at
- origins
- the nucleus
- the emitted gas
- the emitted dust
- the plasma
- the future of cometary exploration.
A script will be provided in ILIAS. |
