Title |
Industry 4.0. and Artificial Intelligence for Smart Production |
Description |
Industry 4.0 and artificial intelligence have strongly impacted production processes in recent years. This course provides an introduction to the concepts and technical enablers of Industry 4.0 and artificial intelligence, and their applications in manufacturing.
The goal of the course is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the potential and limitations of Industry 4.0 and AI technologies for production applications.
The content of the course is strongly interdisciplinary. We will discuss and connect the various aspects of Industry 4.0 and artificial intelligence: Their applications, their technical enablers, business and societal impacts.
You will get to know machine learning algorithms and train machine learning models for manufacturing applications, such as in quality control and predictive maintenance, as part of this course. We will also discuss benefits and risks of the underlying technologies. |
