Biochemistry II for Pharmacy Students |
Description |
Weekly 2-hour lectures accompanied by separate problem session (seminars) give a general overview of basic topics in modern biochemistry for pharmacy students in the second year. Several lecturers from the IBMM (Institute of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine) give detailed insights into topics such as nutrition, detoxification, gene expression, molecular biology, signal transduction, ion channels, ion pumps, transporters, hormones, neurotransmitters, regulation of metabolism and of energy balance in cells and organs. More than 40 lectures over two semesters in total convey knowledge in important biochemical topics, which the students can process and enlarge upon in weekly problem sessions. |
