Title |
Work motivation, job satisfaction, and performance (advanced seminar) |
Description |
Questions about the seminar please to: daniel.spurk@unibe.ch
In the seminar, literature on the topic of work motivation will be read and discussed. What different concepts and theories are there about this? How have these approaches developed and what are the more recent developments in this field? Work satisfaction and performance - two fundamental constructs of organizational psychology - are also related to work motivation. Relationships between these three constructs are discussed. In addition, the antecedents and consequences of work motivation, job satisfaction and work performance are examined in more detail. Another goal of the seminar is to encourage a transfer of the knowledge gained on how to create the most motivating work environment possible, which leads to higher job satisfaction and performance. |
