Description |
This lecture aims to provide a broad introduction to neurophysiology and directly associated topics from the intersection of biology, psychology and neuroscience. The lecture is designed in such a way that it overlaps as little as possible with the contents of related lectures of the main study of psychology (perception, biopsychology I and II, clinical psychology) and thus optimally complements the main study of psychology.
The lecture imparts the following basic knowledge: Neuronal signal transduction, intracellular signalling cascades, transmitter systems, genetics and epigenetics, development of the nervous system, neurogenesis, axon growth and guidance, synapse formation and plasticity, measurement and manipulation of neurophysiological processes.
This lecture will be made available on ILIAS as a podcast.
