Title |
Cross-cultural Psychology meets Psychopathology |
Description |
This eminar provides an overview of comparative cultural psychology and psychopathology. Various disorders (such as: eating disorder, anxiety disorder, and schizophrenia) will be examined from different cultural perspectives. Additionally, the topic of transcultural psychotherapy will be explored and inputs for practice will be developed. In addition to theoretical foundations, great emphasis will be placed on critical thinking as well as application to practice.
Requirements:
Be motivated to participate in interactive exercises and discussions while critically examining the content presented. All participants will be expected to creatively design a meeting session in a group setting, as well as write a seminar assignment.
Students who have already attended the proseminar "Cross-Cultural Psychology Meets Psychopatholgy" in the Bachelor's program are not admitted to the seminar. |
