| Title |
Engaging with political communication theories |
| Description |
Performed by Vihang Jumle.
This course engages with core political communication theories conceptualised before and after the emergence of digital communication, mainly led by the Internet. The class will scout through the years of foundational concepts, media effects, politics-media axis, comparative analysis typologies, up until recent theories on voice, actors’ roles, the changing dynamics of political communication order and its effects on normative frameworks. The class will teach ways of critically engaging with ideas, theorising, and constructing written arguments. The course is designed to both, familiarise students with intellectual developments in the discipline, and impart hard skills, employable across social sciences.
