The Organic Chemistry IV lecture concludes the main course of study in organic chemistry. In the time available, the basic principles of retrosynthesis of organic compounds such as drugs and natural product syntheses will be grasped. Concepts are presented that allow the proposal and assessment of different synthesis strategies. The principles of sustainable chemistry are presented and illustrated with examples. |
