Title |
Geometric Group Theory |
Description |
We study finitely generated groups from a geometric viewpoint, via the Cayley graph.
The main focus will be on properties of groups that are preserved under quasi-isometries. As we will see, finite presentation is one of them.
One of the highlights will be a solution of the word problem for hyperbolic groups. |
