Title Evidence-based treatment of Alcohol Use Disorders: Selected and innovative therapeutic
Description Alcohol use disorders (AUD) are among the most common mental disorders. Their impact on the quality of life of patients and their families is immense.
After a brief introduction to classification, aetiology and epidemiology over the lifespan of AUD, this course is concerned with evidence-based treatment of AUD: After a first over overview, we will zoom in on selected aspects of this treatment. Here, a first focus is on motivational interviewing. After learning relevant concepts of motivational interviewing, we will deepen the knowledge through reflection of possible client-therapist-interactions. With a second focus on cognitive bias modification, a rather innovative aspect of AUD treatment, will be discussed.
