Title |
Evidence-based treatment of Alcohol Use Disorders: Selected and innovative therapeutic |
Description |
Alcohol use disorders (AUD) are among the most common mental disorders. Their impact on the quality of life of patients and their families is immense.
After a brief introduction to classification, aetiology and epidemiology over the lifespan of AUD, this course is concerned with evidence-based treatment of AUD: After a first over overview, we will zoom in on selected aspects of this treatment. Here, a first focus is on motivational interviewing. After learning relevant concepts of motivational interviewing, we will deepen the knowledge through reflection of possible client-therapist-interactions. With a second focus on cognitive bias modification, a rather innovative aspect of AUD treatment, will be discussed. |
