Are you passionate about ecology and climate change? Want to understand how climate change impacts the living world? "Climate Change Ecology" offers an interdisciplinary deep dive into the ecological consequences of our changing climate. Designed for MSc 1st year students, this course focuses on three crucial ecological responses (across all life forms) to climate change: Phenology, Physiology, and Distribution.
Lectures: seven lectures; two full lectures (two Tuesdays) on each theme (phenology, physiology and distribution) followed up by one synthesis lecture.
Excursion: a visit to Hasli Outdoor Experiment Facility (HOME) (details will be shared during the course)
Guest lectures: one of the Tuesdays will consist of short talks by the members of the Terrestrial Ecology Division (details will be shared during the course).
Roundtable: one of the Tuesdays will involve a conversation with an expert in the field in the form of a roundtable discussion (details will be shared during the course).
