Title |
Diversity Management and Inclusion |
Description |
In recent years, organisations in Switzerland and in Europe in general have increasingly turned their attention to the diversity of and within their own workforces. In addition to the morally motivated desire to create fairer conditions for all employees through greater inclusiveness, economic considerations are usually also at play. These are based either on the economic value of a more diverse workforce per se, or on the value of managing this diversity appropriately. Against this background, the lecture provides an overview of theoretical approaches to understanding the functioning and necessity of diversity management policies and interventions, as well as practical approaches to designing and implementing these policies. |
