BA (MA) Sachbereichs-/Regionalübung: The Technologized Body: Imagining and Experiencing Bodies in the Age of AI and Big Data |
Description |
Be aware: if you sign in for the course, you signed in for the exam!
his course explores how the human body is imagined, transformed, and experienced in an era of rapid technological advancement. At the intersection of medical anthropology and art, we will examine contemporary representations of the body in relation to AI, automation, and Big Data, alongside the lived experiences of uncertainty in medical decision-making and care. Through interdisciplinary readings, case studies, and creative projects, students will engage with key concepts like the “technologized body,” data-driven healthcare, and the impact of new technologies on patient care, identity, and ethics. We will analyze cultural narratives, visual art, and critical perspectives on AI’s role in reshaping our understanding of health, illness, and embodiment. |
