Processes in psychopathology and psychological intervention from the view of system theory |
Description |
The field of psychopathology is introduced using a dynamical systems and embodied cognition approach. This approach allows to model processes that originate from empirical projects that have been conducted in the psychiatric setting. Specific longitudinal datasets and the corresponding analytical methods are introduced, such as time series analysis, sequential analysis, and tools derived from complexity theory. Various clinical fields and problems are treated, such as schizophrenia, psychosocial crises, personality disorders as well as the respective psychological treatments. The seminar consist of an introductory lecture section and a seminar section with student contributions.
