Title |
Offence-oriented psychotherapy for preventing violence – How violence can be prevented by psychotherapy? |
Description |
One of the most common risk factors for the emergence of violence is the experience of violence. Violence prevention focuses firstly on understanding the phenomenon of violence and how it functions in everyday life and secondly on learning conflict-resolving behaviour and strategies for self-protection and protection of others. This is where, among other things, offense-oriented psychotherapy comes in.
The seminar examines the theory, empiricism and practice of interpersonal violence. Theories and corresponding models of the development of violence are looked at, psychotherapeutic factors are reflected upon against this background and illustrated by means of practical examples, and empirical findings are discussed. |
