Anxiety disorders |
Description |
The course offers an introduction to the field of anxiety disorders. The different disorders such as social phobia, generalized anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder or the obsessive-compulsive disorder will be discussed within the topics of diagnosis, etiology and therapy. In addition to the theoretical background, there will also be a practical part in each session, where evidence-based treatment methods can be practiced or case studies will be discussed.
Proseminar requirements:
The course requires independent, cooperative and creative participation. Students will lead a session in small groups. Based on the basic text read by all students, the theoretical basis is presented and applied in the second hour through discussions, case studies, film material or group work. Participants are expected to attend the proseminar regularly (no more than 2x excused absences), as well as to actively participate in the practical session parts. |
