The lecture introduces the central topics of social psychology and gives the participants the opportunity to deepen their knowledge by means of short videos, exercises, and quizzes. The lecture is obligatory for the preparatory year of the Bachelor's program.
The textbook (Kassin, Fein & Markus, 2021. Social Psychology. Boston: Cengage Learning) is available at a special price at the bugeno bookshop (vonRoll).
Please purchase ONLY the book (as hardcover or as eBook). Do NOT purchase access to the MindTap learning environment, which is also available from Cengage Publishing, because we are not offering a MindTap course this semester.
All other relevant texts, slides, and exercise materials for the lecture as well as podcasts will be made available on ILIAS.
Implementation:
Due to limited room capacity and to reduce the risk of infection with SARS-COV 2, not all sessions will be conducted as in-person sessions. Information on the exact schedule will be provided at the first in-person session on 9/22/21. Live streaming will be offered simultaneously for this first in-person session as well as for all subsequent ones, i.e. you will also be able to participate in all in-person sessions online.
Prerequisite for admission to the examination:
Timely participation in all "Chapter-Quizzes", which are provided for different topics of the lecture "Social Psychology I" in ILIAS. The chapter-quizzes must be carried out BEFORE the date of the respective course lecture.
Requirements:
Module examination together with Social Psychology II
Credited as"Freie Leistung":
If you are not studying psychology and would like to attend this course as a free achievement, this is only possible if you also attend the course "Social Psychology II". The two courses will be examined together. |
