Cross-cultural Psychology meets Psychopathology: Cultural differences in clinical psychology and psychotherapy |

Content:
This proseminar provides an overview of comparative cultural psychology and psychopathology. Various disorders (such as: eating disorder, anxiety disorder, and schizophrenia) will be examined from different cultural perspectives. Additionally, the topic of transcultural psychotherapy will be explored and inputs for practice will be developed. In addition to theoretical foundations, great emphasis will be placed on critical thinking as well as application to practice.
Requirements:
Be motivated to participate in interactive exercises and discussions while critically examining the content presented. All participants are expected to be creative in facilitating a session in a group setting. Furthermore, a learning journal is to be turned in at the end of the seminar.
Attendance is mandatory in our proseminar.
