Title |
Brain and language |
Description |
The latest knowledge on the organisation of verbal information processing and speech is presented in the form of cognitive neuroscience articles. We look at the different language regions of the human brain and how they interact in time and space to generate language. Of interest is sensory, phonological, lexical and semantic language processing as well as speech planning and motor control of the speech apparatus. To understand language functions, researchers study healthy people using EEG and neuroimaging methods on the one hand and aphasic patients on the other.
Seminar prerequisites: knowledge in psychology and neuroscience.
Ideally: completion of the minor in neuroscience |
