Title Are careers irrational? – Industrial and organizational psychology within the context of cognitive biases
Description In this seminar students gain an overview of central aspects within the field of industrial and organizational psychology. For example, topics such as career choice, calling, job search, and more are discussed. Furthermore, cognitive biases will be introduced and explained. The goal of the seminar is to gain an overview of both fields and furthermore to explore how strongly cognitive biases exert influence on well-established concepts within the field of industrial and organizational psychology (e.g., does calling really exist, or do deceive ourselves?).
