Title Clinical neuropsychology in patients during development
Description Content: In this seminar, various childhood diseases that affect the central nervous system are introduced(e.g. epilepsy, head trauma, childhood stroke, oncological diseases). We will focus on the aetiology and course of the diseases and in particular on the neuropsychological manifestations in childhood and adolescence. Additionally, factors that shape cognitive development and recovery in childhood are discussed. Diagnostic strategies of developmental neuropsychology are introduced by applying different neuropsychological assessment methods. The effectiveness of neuropsychological interventions in childhood and adolescence will be studied and critically discussed.
