Title |
Neuroanatomy with practices |
Description |
In this course, the main parts of the human central nervous system (CNS) are introduced. A strong focus is on the brain and its subdivision. The location and physical appearance of the most important brain regions will be presented in detail, together with their blood supply, their main connections, and the dominant functions to which these regions contribute. The latter will in part be derived from clinical findings. Moreover, practical hands-on experience in the Institute of Anatomy is a central element of this course. Students will work in small groups with dissected brain parts and slices, allowing the formation of more vivid structural neuroanatomy knowledge. A written exam organised by the Studienberatung Bachelor will complete the course.
