Title |
Modern psychodynamic psychotherapy |
Description |
Since early psychoanalysis, psychodynamic psychotherapy has developed considerably. In this seminar, we will first learn the conceptual foundations of psychodynamic psychotherapy and get to know the basic features of therapeutic action from a psychodynamic perspective. Thereafter, we will cover emotions and dreams in psychodynamic psychotherapy and discuss how therapeutic indications are made and what role therapeutic goals play in this form of therapy. Afterwards, we will discuss the specifics of psychodynamic assessment, gain an overview of the therapy process and get an insight into the handling of crises in the therapeutic relationship. After getting to know psychodynamic psychotherapies in multi-person settings (couple, family, group), we will finally learn about the current state of empirical testing of the effectiveness of psychodynamic psychotherapies. |
