Description |
In this course the following topics will be covered: Pharmacopoeias (structure of the Ph.Eur. and comparison with the Swiss and the German ones); excipients and polymers; preformulation investigations, basic operation in pharmaceutical technology; packaging material; stability of drugs and interactions and incompatibilities with drugs, excipients, packaging material; sustainability in pharmaceutical manufacturing; pharmaceutical solvents, solubility and distribution phenomena; water treatment processes, sterilization techniques and quality requirements of pharmaceutical water; surface phenomena, surfactants, colloidal systems, emulsions and suspensions and related stability issues; parenteral dosage forms and liquid ophthalmics; gels.
Knowledge of general, organic and analytical chemistry is recommended. Prior attendance of Physiology is recommended.
