Title |
Lab course Neuroscience: Hands-on introduction to brain stimulation techniques |
Description |
Non-invasive brain stimulation technologies can modulate neural activity and, in recent years, they became a key method in neuroscience. The purpose of this course is to provide theoretical background and hands-on practical experience necessary to set up a brain stimulation study and manage its application.
The first few lessons will focus on discussing the basic principles of brain stimulation. Next, students will have the unique opportunity to practice hands-on different brain stimulation technologies in the laboratory. In the second part, through group discussions the most recent brain stimulation articles will be criticised constructively, with particular focus on Social Neuroscience. |
