Lab course Neuroscience: Eye-tracking in cognitive neuroscience - An introduction to theoretical and practical aspects |
Description |
The course aims to provide a theoretical and practical introduction to eye-tracking in the field of cognitive neurosciences. In a first part, neurophysiological and cognitive foundations of eye movements, as well as technical principles of eye-tracking, will be presented. In a second part, an overview on different applications of eye-tracking in cognitive neurosciences will be developed through work in small groups. In a third, practical part, the course participants will plan, program, and perform a simple cognitive experiment with eye-tracking measurements; they will then learn how to process, analyze and interpret the resulting data.
