Description |
Attendance in the introductory and midterm meeting required.
Auditors (Gasthörer) are not admitted to this course.

Module: General Elective Courses
Selection Criterion: The number of course participants is limited to 4. The acceptance criteria will be based on the grade in the exam “Finite Element Analysis I" (usually, a grade of 5 or better is required), but also on an individual interview. Students of the Master's Program Biomedical Engineering are given preference. PhD students, students from other study programs or guest students are admitted to this course if free places are available, provided they possess the required knowlegde for this course.

Attendance rules:
• Attendance to the following three lectures is mandatory; introductory lecture, mid-term student presentations, and final projects presentations (oral exam).
Course materials are regularly posted on Ilias (www.ilias.unibe.ch).
Prerequisites:
• Course(s): Numerical Methods; Finite Element Analysis I
Required Material or Equipment:
• PC or laptop to perform FEM calculations
Course Policies:
• Academic dishonesty, plagiarism, and any other kind of fraud will lead to the exclusion from the course and/or a fail grade (grade 1) in the assessment. |
