Description Not sure how to handle your upcoming seminar paper(s)? Wondering how to narrow down your topic, sift through the mountains of literature, and write scholarly? And whether AI tools could do some of the work for you? Then this course is for you!
In this interdisciplinary course, you will learn helpful tips for the entire process of academic writing in the humanities: from narrowing down your topic to using the right search terms and tools, to structuring and formulating your thoughts. You will identify your writing style and learn how to keep track of your collected literature using a reference management program.
We will practice working with Zotero to avoid citation errors and create proper bibliographies. You will also learn important aspects of handling images and data and how to use text analysis tools. Finally, you will acquire time management techniques to help you stay organized throughout your studies.

The course has a modular structure. In addition to the introductory course, you can select (at least) seven out of ten courses that are of particular interest to you.
