Title Inorganic Chemistry III: Inorganic Reaction Mechanism and Homogeneous Catalysis, incl. Exercises
Description The AC III lecture continues the findings from the AC II lecture. The focus is on ligand exchange reactions with regard to synthesis and catalysis. After deepening electron transfer reactions (redox), fundamental organometallic reactions and reactivities of s-, p-, and d-block metals are introduced, and these are then connected to each other in catalytic cycles. Fundamental catalytic reactions are discussed as the key to a more sustainable production of relevant products and their basic mechanisms, in particular polymerization of olefins, olefin metathesis, hydrogenations, hydroformylations, hydroaminations, and cross-coupling reactions.
