Title Developmental Psychology I
Description This course provides insight into central topics in developmental psychology, with a particular focus on methods, theories, biological foundations, and cognitive development. Individual psychological functional areas are considered from a developmental perspective. Areas covered include perception, motor skills, memory, reading and writing, mathematics, language, and intelligence. No basic knowledge of developmental psychology is required to attend the lecture. A book, which will be announced at the beginning of the lecture, will serve as an additional source of material. The course is part of a two-semester introduction to developmental psychology (lectures Developmental Psychology I and II). The two lectures will be examined (and graded) together as part of a module examination. The exam will take place during the bachelor exam week of FS 2025.
If you are not studying psychology and would like to attend this course as a free credit, please note that this is only possible if you also attend the course Developmental Psychology II. The two courses will be examined together. Thus, the lecture Developmental Psychology I cannot be examined alone.
Note: This event will be held in presence with podcast. Furthermore, there is the possibility for not 3 G's to participate via livestream.
