Title Research Colloquium Health Psychology and Behavioural Medicine
Description In the research colloquium, ongoing Master's theses in the Department of Health Psychology and Behavioural Medicine are presented and discussed. The Master's students learn to justify their questions, hypotheses and the methodological procedure of their Master's thesis in a comprehensible way and to interpret their results stringently. The students receive feedback on the current status of their Master's thesis from their fellow students and the staff of the department in order to further improve their Master's thesis. Furthermore, open questions on the part of the participants are clarified (e.g. regarding methods of analysis). Overall, the participants sharpen their thematic and methodological knowledge and learn to assess other research projects constructively and critically.
Attendance at the research colloquium is compulsory for all students writing a Master's thesis at the Department of Health Psychology and Behavioural Medicine for two semesters. The research colloquium is considered part of the Master's thesis. Therefore, no ECTS are awarded.
The research colloquium involves giving two presentations (one per semester). In the first semester, the research plan is to be presented (introduction, theory, method) and in the second semester, the focus is on results and discussion.
Information on the structure of the research colloquium will be given on the first date of the semester.

The event takes place online.
