Title Ethnic inequalities in education and employment
Description Due to increasing migration and refugee flows, ethnic inequalities in the education system and in the labor market are among the current issues of sociological education and labor market research. The focus is on questions about the integration of migrant groups into the education and employment system. Disadvantages and disadvantages in access to higher education and advantageous professional positions are the focus of considerations. The sociological in-depth explanation for the emergence and reproduction of ethnic inequalities in educational and employment opportunities and their empirical analysis form the core of the seminar. This includes the empirical comparison of theories, the critical discussion of empirical findings, and the illumination of educational and labor market policy discussions and measures.
