Title |
Social cognition in digital age |
Description |
The World Wide Web has undeniably become an integral part of the daily lives of the majority of the world's population. Many people spend more time online on any given day than they do in real life. Social interactions are also taking place more and more online, whether in a professional or private context. What impact does this development have on our mental processes, such as social perception, social judgement and social influence? Constantly evolving digitalisation has changed our communication, our education, our social life and especially our perception of ourselves. How are these changes affecting society, families and individuals now and in the future?
In this seminar, we will look at the impact of digital transformation on our social cognition. We will discuss current studies and findings from research. |
