Title |
Molecular Electronics |
Description |
This course is recommended for master and graduate students with an interest in the emerging field of molecular electronics with single molecules and molecular assemblies on surfaces. It provides an introduction to experimental techniques and theoretical concepts for charge transport through single-molecule junctions, gives an exposure to some new aspects of N-heterocycles on surfaces and familiarize the students with the basics of molecular electronics with emphasis on experimental methods, chemical modification, quantum interference, transport mechanisms and self-assembly on surfaces.
Lieterature: Published articles
Recommended prerequisites: Bachelor studies in chemistry or in physics with basic knowledge in chemistry.
