Modern approaches to career choice and development underscore the growing importance of adaptability and individual responsibility within the workplace and career management. These approaches adopt a contextual viewpoint and highlight adaptability as a vital competency in rapidly changing labor market propelled by technological advancements and globalization. This shift has sparked a heightened interest among employers and researchers alike to delve into the necessity for adaptability and its individual expressions in today's work environment.
This seminar delivers an in-depth analysis of adaptability in the workplace by examining a variety of theoretical frameworks and operationalization approaches. It aims to elucidate how individuals can adjust to the shifting demands and challenges of their careers and workplaces. Through an engagement with relevant academic literature and the development and execution of their own empirical research, participants will acquire a thorough understanding of adaptability and its pivotal importance in the workplace. Moreover, the seminar serves as an avenue for practicing and applying essential research skills.
