Title |
Biological rhythms of social behavior |
Description |
Do we take more risks when we are overtired? Do we act against our ethical principles when the clock shows certain times? We will explore these and other questions from the interdisciplinary field where chronobiology meets social psychology. In particular, we want to understand how circadian rhythms – our internal biological clocks – and sleep affect our social behavior and decision-making processes.
Through a mix of theoretical insights and practical experiments, we will learn about the biological foundations of circadian rhythms, the methodology of chronobiological research, and the effects of these rhythms on everyday social behaviors. |
