Title |
Introduction to forensic psychiatry and psychology |
Description |
This course will be held under the direction of Prof. Dr. phil. Leila M. Soravia, with some of the individual lectures being given by various members of staff from the University Clinic for Forensic Psychiatry and Psychology Bern (UPD) and external experts in the field. The aim of the course is to provide an introduction to the field of forensic psychiatry and psychology and to teach the relevant legal principles, concepts, theories and methods. Various disorders, as well as their disorder-specific and offense-oriented therapy, will be developed using case studies. Furthermore, instruments for assessing the legal prognosis will be examined in more detail. Finally, a visit to the prison Witzwil will provide a direct insight into the penal system and an exchange with an inmate. |
