Title Navigating the tides of contemporary work: New challenges for work and workers
Description The world of work is constantly evolving and transforming due to a confluence of societal, political, and environmental factors. Recent decades have witnessed seminal transformations, such as the globalization of labor markets, rapid technological evolution, and emergent issues related to climate change. These changes have engendered a spectrum of effects and challenges – both positive and controversial – on work and workers.

The seminar aims to provide an overview of these changes and challenges, based on existing literature, in several thematic modules. It aims to inform and stimulate students' reflections with a comprehensive synthesis of contemporary work phenomena, based on established theoretical frameworks in work and organizational psychology and new emerging topics of research. Students will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills through readings, exercises and two final assignments.
