Title |
Introduction to Chemistry I |
Description |
The Introduction to Chemistry I teaches the basics of chemistry and is essential for further courses in this field. The course teaches the structure of atoms, ions, and molecules, shows periodic trends, and introduces concepts of chemical bonds. Based on this, the properties of compounds are discussed in a second phase, and in particular their reactivity (acids/bases, electrochemistry). The basic principles of substance properties and chemical reactions are discussed physicochemically and chemically. |
