This course includes the following chapters: (i) a short history of molecular biology, (ii) pathways leading to aminoacylation of tRNAs, (iii) variations of the genetic code, (iv) the discovery of the 21st and 22nd genetically encoded amino acids and (v) how the genetic code can be expanded.
