Title Biological Psychology I
Description The course "Biological Psychology I" serves to convey the basics of neurobiology/chemistry, neurophysiology and neuroanatomy in humans. In addition, an overview of the basics in neuronal information processing and an overview of the respective research methods are provided.

Recommended preparations for this lecture:
-Introduction to the basics of neuroanatomy of the neurocranium, the spinal axis and the
peripheral nerves
-Familiarisation with the basic features of the functional classification of cognitive systems (vision, movement, somatosensation)

-Basics of the biochemistry of hormones and neurotransmitters.

Examination:
Written examination of the Module Biological Psychology: i.e., the two lectures Biological Psychology I and II will be examined in one single written examination. This examination takes place following the lecture Biological Psychology II at the end of the Spring Term.

If you are not studying psychology and would like to attend this course with a free credit, please note that this is only possible if you also attend the course "Biological Psychology II" because these two lectures will be examined together.
