This lecture deals with the history of social anthropology in terms of the history of ideas, methodology and institutions. The aim of the lecture is to work out the fundamental social and scientific-historical conditionality of anthropological questions. On the one hand, we will familiarize ourselves with the dominant theoretical approaches in 19th and 20th century social anthropology. On the other hand, we will critically examine this tradition in the context of postcolonial and feminist perspectives. |
