Title Topology
Description An introduction to point set topology.

Topology is a fundamental branch of mathematics. It deals with the properties of mathematical structures that are retained under continuous deformations, whereby the concept of continuity is defined in a very general way. Topology is a fundamental discipline and a pillar for a large number of other fields of mathematics. It is particularly important for geometry, analysis, functional analysis and algebraic topology.

A rough breakdown of the lecture is as follows:

Metric spaces, topological spaces, continuous mappings, separation axioms, connectedness, quotient spaces, filters, compactness, product spaces, fundamental group.
