BA-Seminar: Introduction to the Study of Religion I |
| Description |
Meditation, minarets, crosses as jewellery, horoscopes, spiritual experiences whilst hiking: these examples, however diverse they may be, all have something to do with “religion”. But how can we analyse such diverse phenomena from a Study of Religion perspective? What theories of religion do we find in the history of our discipline? And how does the field of the Study of Religion approach these questions today?
Offered alongside a tutorial, this course serves as an introduction for first-year students and anyone interested in gaining a basic understanding of the discipline.
