| Description |
The aim of this lecture is to teach concepts and strategies of health promotion and prevention. Theoretical and conceptual principles of health promotion and prevention across different settings and target groups will be covered and illustrated with concrete examples from practice. Further, the development and evaluation of health promotion and prevention interventions will be discussed. In exercise sessions, the students will actively deepen the content of the lecture. The exercises are a mandatory part of the lecture and a prerequisite for participating in the exam. The literature will be communicated in the course.
Please note that starting in 2029, the “Health Promotion and Prevention” course will be offered in the spring semester; therefore, it will not be offered in the fall semester of 2028. The next offerings will take place as follows:

o Fall 2027
o Not offered in Fall 2028
o Starting in Spring 2029, offered every spring semester |
