Title Work in transition: Digitalization, automation, and AI in the work context (supplementary seminar)
Description This master's seminar deals with digitalization and automation in the work context from a work and organizational psychology perspective. The focus is on how technological developments are changing work—at the level of activities and work processes, in organizations, and for employees and their professional development. The seminar provides an overarching framework for classifying key concepts and current developments and creates space for participants to explore specific topics in greater depth and refine them further over the course of the semester.

In terms of teaching, the seminar combines input presentations by the lecturers with independent literature studies by the students. Content is developed in group work and discussed in presentations, with the aim of transferring scientific findings to practical questions and reflecting on them critically. Grading is based on active participation, presentations, and a written seminar paper. In addition to examining research literature, this paper will also include a small qualitative empirical group project in the form of interviews, the results of which will be evaluated and contextualized in relation to the topics covered in the seminar. The scope, specific requirements, and evaluation criteria will be specified at the beginning of the seminar.
