Title |
Physical Chemistry II: Kinetics for minor students, incl. Exercises |
Description |
The course offers a comprehensive introduction to Chemical Kinetics. It explains the fundamental concepts and laws describing the temporal evolution of both simple and complex chemical reactions and the temperature dependence of reaction rates. Then, it discusses microscopic concepts of chemical reaction kinetics and selected mechanisms of chemical reactions. In conclusion, the course addresses the fundamentals of transport and surface processes, as well as catalysis, specifically surface catalysis and biocatalysis. The fundamental importance of chemical kinetics for sustainability and sustainable development is illustrated in selected examples. |
