Title |
AE: English for University Studies 3 - C1 |
Description |
This is an academic English course for participants with C1 level English (advanced). The course aims to help participants from all disciplines improve their use of language and the communication skills commonly required in advanced academic English. Activities include listening to talks on academic topics, extensive speaking in pairs and small group discussions, reading texts both of general academic interest and particular to participants’ fields of study, and writing about discipline-specific topics. Students who are preparing to study in English, for example for a master-level degree, may find this course helpful.
"In addition, students intending to take the TOEFL test can register for this course in preparation. Having registered, they should inform the instructor of their intention. The instructor will advise them about self-study materials and adapt course activities, assignments, and feedback on speaking and writing to help prepare them for the TOEFL test."
Out-of-class workload: average of 3 hours per week.
